Can you have two SBA loans at the same time?
Yes: you can have two (or more) SBA loans at the same time. There's no rule limiting borrowers to one SBA loan; what matters is staying within program maximums and proving your cash flow can carry every payment. In fact, a May 2026 SBA rule (effective July 2026) explicitly lets eligible borrowers combine 7(a) and 504 loans up to $10 million in cumulative SBA exposure. Assuming "one and done" can leave growth capital on the table. Quordx Capital matches borrowers, including those with an SBA loan already in place, with SBA-approved lenders from a 50+ lender network.

How multiple SBA loans actually work
The caps work on cumulative exposure, not per-loan count. Within 7(a), your combined outstanding 7(a) balances can't exceed the $5M program maximum, so a business with a $2M 7(a) could qualify for up to $3M more in 7(a) lending. The 504 program has its own $5.5M ceiling, and under the 2026 rule, eligible borrowers can stack 7(a) and 504 up to $10M total, say, a 504 for your building and a 7(a) for working capital or an acquisition. Approval for loan two hinges on three things: a clean payment history on loan one (the strongest evidence you can offer), debt service coverage showing cash flow handles both payments, and standard credit standards (most 7(a) lenders look for 650+). Your second loan doesn't have to come from your first lender; a different SBA lender can often offer better terms or appetite.
Options for your next round of SBA capital
SBA 7(a): Up to $5M cumulative across your 7(a) loans, broad uses. Best for adding working capital, expansion, or acquisition funding alongside an existing SBA loan.
SBA 504: Up to $5.5M for real estate and fixed assets; combinable with 7(a) to $10M total under the 2026 rule. Best for buying your building while keeping 7(a) capacity free.
SBA Express: Up to $500K with a 36-hour SBA response. Best for a smaller, faster second SBA facility.
How Quordx Capital Works
Disclose your existing SBA loan in your 5-minute application: it's an input, not a strike. Quordx Capital's matching process weighs your remaining SBA capacity, payment history, and cash flow, then matches you with 3-7 of the 50+ network lenders most likely to fund a second SBA facility. Expect initial responses in 24-48 hours, with full SBA underwriting to follow.
What to Expect
The main qualifier is math, not policy: lenders will verify that revenue covers both payments with room to spare, and they'll scrutinize the payment record on your first loan. If your coverage is thin, Quordx Capital will tell you before you spend weeks in underwriting, sometimes a line of credit or term loan is the smarter second facility. As always: free matching, full disclosure on every offer, zero obligation.
