How This Business Loan Qualification Calculator Works

The calculator uses the same three variables real lenders start with: your average monthly revenue, your time in business, and your personal credit score. It applies 2026 industry-standard sizing multiples to estimate how large an offer you’d realistically see from each of the seven mainstream funding types — before any lender pulls your credit.

Revenue sets the ceiling. Most short-term working-capital products (MCA, revenue-based financing, lines of credit, online term loans) size offers at 1–3× your monthly deposits. SBA 7(a) loans use debt-service-coverage instead and can reach up to $5M for well-qualified businesses. Equipment financing is capped by the equipment’s value, and invoice factoring is capped by your outstanding B2B receivables.

Credit and time in business then adjust the ceiling up or down. A 720+ credit score with 5+ years in business unlocks the top of every range; sub-600 credit with under 12 months narrows the field to revenue-based products. If your existing monthly debt is above ~15% of revenue, the calculator applies a debt-service haircut the way a lender would.

The result: a fast, honest, no-signup estimate of what you could qualify for — plus the products where you’re not a fit yet and exactly why.

What Lenders Look At When You Apply

Once you formally apply, lenders review three additional layers this calculator can’t see: your bank statement patterns (deposit consistency, average daily balance, negative days, and NSFs); your industry risk profile (which affects both rate and maximum advance); and any existing loan or MCA stacking that shows up on business credit or in your statements.

The businesses that pull the strongest offers share four traits: consistent monthly deposits with fewer than 3 negative days per month, an average daily balance above $1,000, a personal credit score above 680, and no active stacked MCAs. If any of those are off, expect your real offer to sit at the lower end of the range shown above — but not zero.

Business Funding Calculator FAQs

How much funding can my business qualify for?

Most small businesses qualify for 1–3 months of monthly revenue in short-term financing, and up to $5M in SBA financing if they meet the 2+ year time-in-business and 650+ credit bar. Your actual eligibility depends on cash flow, existing debt, credit, and industry — this calculator uses 2026 industry-standard underwriting multiples to give a fast estimate.

What credit score do I need for business funding?

There's a funding option for almost every credit tier. SBA 7(a) loans typically need 650+, bank and online term loans start around 600, equipment financing works from 580, and merchant cash advances and invoice factoring accept scores as low as 500 (or don't rely on your credit at all).

How fast can I get business funding?

Merchant cash advances and invoice factoring can fund in 24–72 hours. Online term loans and lines of credit usually fund in 1–7 days. Equipment financing takes 2–10 days. SBA 7(a) loans are the slowest at 30–90 days but offer the lowest rates.

Can I qualify with bad credit?

Yes. Revenue-based products — merchant cash advances, invoice factoring, and revenue-based financing — underwrite off your bank deposits or receivables rather than your credit score. Businesses with sub-600 credit but $15K+/month in consistent revenue routinely qualify.

Is this calculator a loan offer?

No. This is a free estimation tool based on 2026 industry-average underwriting guidelines. It's not an offer, commitment, or guarantee of financing. Real offers come from lenders after reviewing your bank statements, financials, and credit profile.
