Can you have two merchant cash advances at once?
Yes, you can have two merchant cash advances at the same time, funders call it "stacking", but the fact that someone will fund a second position doesn't make it wise. Each advance pulls its own daily or weekly draft from the same revenue, and two overlapping drafts at factor rates each can consume cash faster than the business generates it. Many first advances also contractually prohibit stacking. If you're considering a second MCA because the first one squeezed your cash flow, that's the strongest possible signal to look at different products instead.

What stacking actually does to your cash flow
Run the arithmetic on a typical stack. Your first advance drafts $600 per business day. A second advance adds $450. That's $1,050 leaving the account every business day, over $21K a month, before rent, payroll, or inventory.
Three more realities: second-position advances are priced *worse* than first-position ones, because the new funder knows it's behind someone else. Stacking can put you in breach of your first agreement, triggering default clauses. And lenders across the board read stacked advances in your bank statements as distress, which makes refinancing into cheaper debt harder the longer you wait.
If you genuinely need more capital mid-advance, the better-order moves are: ask your current funder about additional funding on your existing balance, consolidate, or qualify for a cheaper product.
Better paths to more capital than stacking
Working capital loans: $5K-$500K; can sometimes pay off an existing advance and provide new funds in one structure with a saner payment schedule.
Business lines of credit: $10K-$250K+ revolving. Best for the recurring shortfalls that tempt owners into second advances.
A/R financing / invoice factoring: unlock 70-90% of unpaid B2B invoices without adding a daily draft.
Equipment financing: if the capital need is a hard asset, finance the asset itself ($5K-$5M+) rather than borrowing against revenue already spoken for.
How Quordx Capital Works
Tell Quordx Capital your situation once, a 5-minute application plus 3-6 months of bank statements, and the AI engine evaluates your remaining capacity honestly, then matches you with 3-7 lenders from a 50+ lender network suited to a business carrying an existing advance. Expect lender decisions in 24-48 hours and funding in 3-7 business days when there's a fit.
What to Expect
An honest read, first: if a second advance would push your drafts past what your deposits support, Quordx Capital will tell you no and show alternatives, including consolidation routes, instead of submitting you anyway. Everything is disclosed, nothing costs you a fee, and asking changes nothing about your current advance.
