How to get a million dollar business loan?

You can get a million dollar business loan through several routes: SBA 7(a) (up to $5M), commercial real estate financing ($100K-$10M+), equipment financing (up to $5M+), or venture debt for investor-backed startups, but every route requires financials that prove you can service seven-figure debt. At this size, the question isn't whether $1M loans exist; it's which structure fits your business and whether your cash flow, collateral, or backing supports it. Quordx Capital connects you to lenders across all of these categories so you pursue the right one first instead of learning by rejection.

The main paths to $1 million

SBA 7(a): goes to $5M with variable rates currently capped at Prime + 3.0% for loans over $350K, roughly 10.5% today. Lenders typically want 650+ credit, 2+ years in business, and full financials; business acquisitions usually require about 10% down. A May 2026 SBA rule (effective July 2026) even lets eligible borrowers combine 7(a) and 504 for up to $10M of cumulative SBA exposure.

Commercial real estate financing: ($100K-$10M+) works when property anchors the deal: the real estate is the collateral. **Equipment financing** reaches $5M+ when the money buys hard assets like fleets or manufacturing lines. **Venture debt** ($500K-$5M+) fits startups with investor backing and a strong revenue trajectory, where traditional cash-flow underwriting doesn't apply.

Across all of them, expect deep documentation: business tax returns, P&L and balance sheet, bank statements, debt schedules, and often a personal guarantee.

Matching the structure to the purpose

SBA 7(a): Best for acquisitions, expansion, or working capital at the lowest available rates, if you can run a longer process.

Commercial real estate financing: Best for buying or refinancing property your business uses.

Equipment financing: Best when the $1M is rolling stock or machinery; the assets carry the deal.

Venture debt: Best for funded startups extending runway without giving up more equity.

How Quordx Capital Works

Start with a single application, about 5 minutes, then upload your financial package. Our AI evaluates the file against 50+ vetted lenders, including banks, SBA-approved lenders, CRE lenders, and venture debt providers, and ranks your 3-7 best fits. Many decisions return within 24-48 hours; large and SBA deals take longer to close, which we'll map out honestly.

What to Expect

Seven-figure lending is won on preparation. Expect detailed underwriting, expect questions about debt service coverage, and expect a multi-week close on SBA and CRE deals. The biggest objection at this level, "do I even qualify?", costs nothing to answer: Quordx Capital's matching is free, your information is protected by 256-bit encryption on a SOC 2 compliant platform, and if $1M isn't realistic yet, we'll tell you what is.
