Cody Dreis has always been wired to compete, and build.

Long before Quordx, he was a Division I baseball player, where the lessons came early and stuck for good: discipline isn't a mood, it's a habit. Showing up when no one's watching is the whole game. And talent, on its own, loses to relentless work almost every time. Years of early mornings and long after-dark reps shaped a competitor who measures himself by the work, not the applause.

But the entrepreneurial itch was there the whole time. It was never a question of if he'd build something: only what. So he chased it head-on, studying business in college with an emphasis on entrepreneurship and earning his BBA. By his senior year he wasn't waiting for permission. He was already launching his own ventures, learning the unglamorous truths of building from scratch: how to grow an audience, how to sell, how to fail fast and come back smarter. After college, the businesses kept coming. Each one taught him something the last one couldn't.

Then he found the problem worth dedicating himself to long-term.

The deeper he got into the world of small business, the more he saw the same story play out: hardworking owners getting taken advantage of when they needed capital most. Brokers who hid their fees. Lenders who buried the terms. An industry that profited from confusion and treated the people it was supposed to serve as marks instead of clients. To a competitor with a strong sense of fair play, it was infuriating.

So he built Quordx to level the playing field.

The idea was simple, even if the industry made it rare: a funding partner that actually works for the business owner. No fees to the borrower, ever. Full transparency on every term.
