JetBlue Business Card Review (2026): A $99 Card Built Around One Airline

Rates, fees and offers are current as of August 2026 and change without notice. Confirm terms with the issuer before you apply.

The JetBlue Business Card costs $99 a year and pays 6 TrueBlue points per dollar spent directly with JetBlue, JetBlue Vacations and TrueBlue Travel, with no cap on any tier. Around that sit the benefits that usually justify an airline card: a free first checked bag for the cardmember and three companions, Group 3 boarding for four, half off inflight purchases, and 5,000 bonus points every anniversary. It charges nothing on foreign transactions, unusual at this fee level. The detail most write-ups skip is that points and tiles credit only to the primary cardmember's personal TrueBlue account, since no business-side TrueBlue account exists. If your business does not fly JetBlue several times a year, nothing further changes the answer.

How the JetBlue Business Card Rewards Work

Three channels earn 6 points per dollar: purchases where JetBlue is merchant of record through jetblue.com, reservations or an airport ticket counter; JetBlue Vacations packages booked by phone or at jetbluevacations.com; and travel booked through truebluetravel.com. Restaurants, bars and fast food earn 2 points per dollar, as do stand-alone office supply merchants. Everything else earns 1, with no limit on total points while the account is in good standing.

The exclusions matter. Buying TrueBlue points does not earn, and hotels or car rentals bought outside a Vacations package do not count. On TrueBlue Travel, Hotel Pay Later transactions, international car rentals, travel insurance and assorted fees are excluded. Bonus points may also fail to post on purchases made with a mobile card reader, a digital wallet, or through a marketplace, reseller or third-party payment account. No points are earned while the account is past due.

Redemption runs through TrueBlue. Award seats carry no blackout dates on JetBlue-operated flights, at a points price tracking the published base fare. Cash and Points starts from 500 points, and Points Payback turns points into a statement credit against purchases of $25 or more from the last 90 days.

The JetBlue Business Card Welcome Offer

The offer is 50,000 bonus TrueBlue points after $4,000 in purchases, net of credits, returns and adjustments, within 90 days of the account open date. The second condition catches people: the $99 annual fee must also be paid in full inside those 90 days. Barclays states that paying only the minimum due each month may leave the fee unpaid at the deadline, so a payment of at least $99 has to clear.

Eligibility is restricted to applicants who are not, and have never been, JetBlue World Elite Business Mastercard cardmembers. Points reach the TrueBlue account four to six weeks after they are earned.

JetBlue Benefits, Piece by Piece

The checked bag covers the primary cardmember plus three eligible companions on the same itinerary, Group 3 boarding covers the cardmember plus four, and inflight purchases are half price on the card. All three apply only to JetBlue-operated flights, so a codeshare or partner-operated segment gets none of them.

Two annual perks add up without effort. The account receives 5,000 bonus points after each anniversary, and redeeming points for a JetBlue-operated award flight returns 10% of them once the flight is flown. A $100 statement credit posts after a JetBlue Vacations package of $100 or more is bought with the card, one per calendar year.

On status, be realistic. Tiles from card spending track toward Mosaic, but Barclays notes that Mosaic may not be achievable depending on the credit line assigned and the ability to maintain it.

What the JetBlue Business Card Costs

The $99 annual fee is the fixed cost. Purchases and balance transfers carry 19.49% to 29.49% variable, set by Barclays at underwriting, current as of June 30, 2026 against a Prime rate of 6.75% and an APR ceiling of 29.99%. Cash advances run 29.74% variable and cost the greater of $10 or 3%. There is no introductory APR. The grace period is at least 20 days for purchases when the previous balance was paid in full, and excludes cash advances and balance transfers.

Foreign transactions cost 0%. Late payments cost $19 under a $250 balance and $39 at $250 or more, returned payments cost $39, and there is no over-limit fee. Balance transfers cost the greater of $5 or 3%, though the disclosure notes the account may not be eligible for them.

Who Should Get the JetBlue Business Card

The case is strongest for a business built around a JetBlue hub, where the route map matches where the team actually goes. Two round trips a year with a checked bag each way recovers much of the fee before points enter the picture, and one JetBlue Vacations package covers it outright. Sole proprietors lose the least to the account structure, since the points were always going to one person anyway.

Who Should Skip It

A business whose travel is spread across airlines spends most of the year at 1 point per dollar on a card costing $99, which is hard to defend. Partnerships and multi-owner companies should think carefully about rewards accruing to one individual's personal loyalty account. Anyone needing a promotional rate to finance a purchase should look elsewhere, and heavy marketplace or digital wallet buyers may find bonus points failing to post on much of their spending.

Frequently Asked Questions

**Do the points go into a business account or a personal one?**

Into the primary cardmember's personal TrueBlue account. Barclays states there is no separate business TrueBlue account, and points and tiles credit only to the primary cardmember rather than to authorized users, though authorized user spending still counts toward the primary cardmember's qualifying spend.

**What exactly has to happen in the first 90 days to earn the bonus?**

Two things, in the same window: $4,000 in purchases net of credits and returns, and the $99 annual fee paid in full. Barclays warns that paying only the minimum due may not clear the fee in time.

**Does the free checked bag work on partner flights?**

No. The checked bag, Group 3 boarding and 50% inflight savings apply only to JetBlue-operated flights. Codeshare and partner-operated flights are excluded from all three.

Bottom Line

This card earns its $99 through logistics rather than points math: bags, boarding, half-price inflight purchases and an annual 5,000-point deposit, sized for a business that flies one airline with some regularity. Take one JetBlue Vacations package a year and the statement credit alone settles the fee. If JetBlue is a coincidence in your travel rather than a habit, or if rewards landing in one owner's personal account clashes with your structure, the fee buys little.
